Posted on Thursday, March 23rd, 2006 at 5:08 pm. About Ursula Bag, Wrap with Sleeves.

Oh, and I also knit in my spare time

So I have an embarrassingly long list of projects started. However, I have all the confidence in the world I will finish every single one of them. During this year or possibly the next. Ahem. Some projects have lingered a little longer than others…

Wrap with Sleeves
Wrap with Sleeves, Rebecca (free from website)

This is one of those “constant” companions of mine, started back when I was first learning how to knit. I know what you are thinking: “Clearly a design utilizing mohair yarn and fisherman’s rib stitch is a very appropriate choice for a beginner!” Whatever. It’s going to be awesome. Now that I know how to actually knit it. I picked this up again after the many months it has been hibernating in my closet, and I’m excited to finally get it finished.

Ursula Bag
Ursula Bag, Original Design

I am close to being finished with this bag, which has a rendering of my lovely kitty, Ursula, on both sides.

This is a very sweet picture of her, and I will be proud to carry this around with me to show her off to perfect strangers. I realize now that this graphic might be even better felted, but I’ve never felted anything before and so didn’t have that in mind when I was planning it. I may make another one to see how it turns out that way.

More ongoing projects still to come…

Wow, how did you do that? Ursula is beautiful, she should definitely be on a bag!

I am seriously considering making the Wrap with Sleeves, it looks so temptingly gorgeous. Can’t wait to see yours when it’s done! I’ve just started my first cardigan and now I’m on the hunt for my next “kill”! ;-)

I downloaded the Wrap with Sleeves by Rebecca pattern a couple years back and lost it, but managed to find it on your blog. You wouldn’t by chance have a .pdf copy you can e-mail me, would you? I have a partially completed wrap I’d finally like to complete… Would be much appreciated! Thanks.

By the way, I only ask because it’s not on their website any longer… (in english OR german) Also, how did yours turn out if you finished?
