Lacey

I’ve never knit lace before - it’s quite entertaining. Sure better than all of the stockinette I have to do for the stuffed toys. No problems so far with this pattern: I have stitch gauge and am actually close to achieving row gauge in the lace part. Not too bad for me, but I’m sure I’ll have to make little adjustments later. I don’t think I’m going to alter anything about the pattern - I like the shape of it and think it’ll probably fit me well (famous last words). Really, though, how great is this sweater? It’s purty.

Very pretty lace! I don’t own Loop d Loop so I totally missed that pretty sweater. I can’t wait to see the FO.

Very nice a touch of elegance….we all expect to see a photo of you wearing it when you have completed it…..

Question…What is meant by “loop d loop?” Is this another way of saying circular knitting needle knitting? I’m an Aussie trying to understand your terminology. I have googled it, and that is the only explanation I can come up with. Am I right, in assuming someone has bought out a series of patterns where garments are knitted entirely on circular knitting needles?

10 mm circular is the largest we can get here in Australia. 4mm is the largest we can get in DPN’s…we are a little backward here I think…not enough demand..our kids are no longer taught knitting and sewing in schools these days. Very remiss of our education system.
