Janet - the yarn is Frog Tree 100% Alpaca Fingering Weight wool, color #95. My gauge on size 1 needles is 10.5 sts per inch for the ribbing and 7.5 sts per inch for the lace. And it's not variegated at all! It probably just reads that way online because of the light in the pictures.

Would love to know what yarn and the gauge you're using for the lace blouse? It looks slightly variegated too. I'm on the hunt for a certain pink in a fingering or lighter weight.

The sweaters are looking great - I have been leaning towards pink myself recently, so unlike my non-girly self. Ursula is absolutely adorable!

That's very interesting -- I make my knit stitches like that, but not my purl stitches. I /used/ to do that, but then 'realized' that I was making a twist stitch (the stitch sits differently on the needle than in the standard method). Your work looks great, though.

Both sweaters are gorgeous! Gorgeous. Enh, work at your own speed, but yes, some people can really churn out the knitting, can't they? I envy them, but I'm not one of them.

Ursula has nailed that bunny impression. Cute!

Some days I do nothing BUT knit, not even getting up for hours, and others, I can't make two stitches.

The sweaters are looking great. The pink one IS really girlie, in a good way!

The kitten is adorable.

Oh, I LOVE the colors! Love them. The color variation looks much brighter to me than in the book and I must say I prefer yours. Excellent. I like the blouse a lot, too. Not much of a pink fan, but I find I am leaning toward some girlie colors lately, too. Pink is included in that. Just got some pink and orange Converse Hi-Tops. heh heh. Totally girlie. You are doing great work. ;0)
