Lace Blouse

Lace Blouse

Pattern by: Teva Durham

Found in: Loop-d-Loop

Yarn: Frog Tree Fingering Weight Alpaca Wool (Color #95)

Needle: Size US1

Gauge: roughly 42 stitches/4 inches in rib, 30 stitches/4 inches in lace pattern - my row gauge was different from the pattern, but I just adjusted my number of rows accordingly.

Modificatons: I mentioned before that I had to adapt the short row shaping in the lower front of the sweater, because my row gauge was different from what the pattern stated. Basically I needed to make more short rows so that the rib section would be high enough in the front.

Note: There is a error in this pattern, so if you make it be sure to check Teva’s error page on her website (loop-d-loop.com), or you can email me.

I love this sweater. It’s pink, it’s super soft. It was lots of fun to make. I mean, look how excited I am!

I just realized that I didn’t take any pictures of the back. You can probably imagine what it looks like, but let me know if you want to see a pic.

it’s beautiful, and your photos are great. I’ve been really interested in seeing how this would turn out for you. I’ve loved the design since I first saw it, but I’ve always been a bit worried about how wearable it would be. The way it’s worn in the book might look good, until you move, so it’s nice to see it worn in a way that means you could actually leave the house. Most tempting indeed.

Wow, that is what knitting is all about. Something lovely and unique that you could never buy in a store. Awesome color choice. It makes me want to hunker down and finish off my own slower-than-molasses sweater sleeve!

Terrific! Really well knit and it looks fabulous on you! So many times I knit things expecting a certain fit, and then hate the way it drapes on my body…or whatever. That looks great on you. Congratulations!

Hi, you did a great job on your sweater! Could you tell me where the pattern is wrong, because I am making this sweater as well. I would really like to get working on this sweater again, and I would love any info that you have on the corrections. Thanks!

What a gorgeous blouse, I’ve just started this sweater, and the loop-d-loop website doesn’t seem to be working anymore. I know you finished this quite a while ago, but would you be able to remember what the pattern error was? Thanks!

    Margaret

[…] Here is a wonderful knock-off from Teva Durham’s Loop-d-Loop This is her cashmere lace blouse, in fingering weight wool. I dare not wash it, although it fits me somewhat loose. I’d love to do it again using a fine grade cotton blend (50% cotton/50%microfiber? a little tencel wouldn’t hurt either) in that buttery yellow, or a pistachio green. Yum. 我很喜欢你的毛衫,我很想学习织一件,可是我没有看懂你是织的什么花。不知道你会不会中文,我很想和你沟通。

i’m about to start knitting this sweater after years of ogling it in my copy of ‘loop d loop’ — do you happen to remember what the error was in the pattern?

    hi there,
i’m knitting the same cashmere lace blouse, in a teal blue yarn. I have the same issue- don’t know the error in the pattern as the loop d loop site no longer works. could you email me the correction? thanks so much, and your sweater is very inspiring.

I’ve been very interested in knitting this pattern but cannot figure out the errors with the pattern. Loop-d-Loop’s website is under construction. Would you share your pattern corrections with me please?

    Thank you,

    Christina
